Meet Girish Sharma, our Data Analytics Consultant at AYLA Solutions with a primary focus on delivering data analytics and data engineering solutions. Girish also happens to be one of the first employees of the company and has played a big part in some major projects over the span of 2 years.
What are your aspirations and goals within the organisation?
"I am a firm believer in lifelong learning, and within the company, I aspire to become an expert in data analytics, engineering, and machine learning to unlock the potential of advanced analytics. I am also passionate about fostering a collaborative learning environment by mentoring colleagues, which will ultimately strengthen our collective data expertise. By staying at the forefront of these technologies, I aim to future-proof our data capabilities, enabling us to make data-driven decisions that deliver a significant competitive advantage."
Girish led a successful data migration project for Bruce Rock Engineering, whereby methodically transforming and transferring their data from a legacy system to their new ERP – Epicor. He is also spearheading a data pipeline project for Citic Pacific Mining, using Python and AWS. This pipeline consists of a wide variety of products and solutions used to seamlessly transfer data from SQL to Snowflake, and automating Power BI report refreshes to ensure accurate business intelligence delivery in real time.
Based on your experience so far, can you outline some accomplishments and tell us more about what you learned?
“Our adaptability to use a variety of products and technologies is where our strength lies in, thus enabling us to deliver high quality work across different types of projects. This also provides me with the opportunity to expand my skill set, turning me into a more well-rounded data professional.”
What new projects would you like to delve into?
“I am incredibly enthusiastic about diving into projects that leverage machine learning and artificial intelligence. These cutting-edge technologies hold immense potential to revolutionize data analysis and unlock additional valuable insights for organisations. I am eager to get my hands on such a project and expand my knowledge in these areas. Being able to develop advanced analytics solutions at AYLA Solutions, which empower businesses to make data-driven decisions and achieve strategic goals is my aim.”
